This tapestry is handwoven on a loom with hand dyed cotton yarn, rayon yarn and printed cotton fabric. Three different fabrics are deconstructed and the individual strips are laid into the warp yarns threaded on the loom. The resulting "picture" is reminiscent of a beach landscape. The weave pattern is a tapestry inlay technique known as Theo Moorman tapestry technique. The piece itself measures 9" X 12" and it is mounted onto a twill fabric over a stretched cotton canvas measuring 11" X 14". It is backed with a dust cover and is wired for hanging.
