This shallow hand thrown clay bowl has a rectangular opening at its center. The bowl is finished in a matte brown glaze with dark and light shadow elements. The rectangular opening is filled with a handwoven tapestry of cotton yarn with an insert of a circular horn piece woven into the center. The tapestry is embellished with alcohol ink. Fossil stone beads embellish the rectangular opening at the center of the bowl. The bowl's diameter is 11" with a depth of 1 3/4" The clay bowl is created by Memphis potter Patricia Schwarz and the tapestry is handwoven by Felicitas Sloves.
